A crew (크루) is a group of BJs who broadcast together as an organized team. In the Korean dance-BJ scene, crews are usually run as seasonal competition programs: a fixed roster of members performs over a season while accumulating donations, fan votes, and rankings. Crews give individual BJs a bigger stage, collaborative content, and a recurring storyline that fans follow season to season.
How do crew competitions work?
Most crews run on donation-and-vote mechanics. Members climb a leaderboard based on the gifts they receive and on fan sentiment (민심) voting. Many crews dramatize this with a rank battle (직급전) that assigns corporate-style titles, and members often set pledges (공약) for reaching goals.
