CHZZK (치지직) is a livestreaming platform operated by Naver, South Korea's dominant web portal. It opened in beta in late 2023 and launched fully in 2024, gaining users rapidly after Twitch ended its South Korean service in early 2024. CHZZK is often described with the neutral word "streamer" rather than the older "BJ" label.
Why did CHZZK grow so fast?
When Twitch exited Korea citing high network costs, a large audience and many broadcasters needed a new home. Backed by Naver's reach and infrastructure, CHZZK absorbed much of that migration and quickly became a major platform alongside SOOP.
Do dance BJs use CHZZK?
Yes. Some BJs simulcast or have moved part of their activity to CHZZK to reach Naver's audience, though SOOP and PandaTV remain the centers of dance-BJ culture.
