Pandaclass Season 8 Opens — No Queen, Wide Open: Meet the 16

The Short Version

Pandaclass S8 (판다클래스 8기) premiered June 2, 2026. Here's the headline our archive cares about: for the first time in a while, this season opens without an obvious queen. The S7 champion and runner-up are both sitting it out, and that single fact changes how the whole thing reads.

Premise: Pandalive is Korea-Only

Quick reminder for anyone new here. Pandaclass airs on Pandalive (판다라이브), which requires a Korean ID — so from outside Korea you can't register, can't watch the live broadcasts, can't even join the chat. For the whole run of the season, global fans are locked out by default.

That's the gap we work in. Throughout the season we keep the pipeline running — capture, clip, distribute — so fans outside Korea have a way to follow S8 as it unfolds.

The Vacant Throne: Heso & Jiin Are Both Out

To understand why S8 feels different, you need the two names that aren't on the call sheet.

해서 imanatural
해서 Heso · imanatural — S7 champion, absent in S8
지인 in0410
지인 Jiin · in0410 — S7 runner-up, absent in S8

해서 Heso (imanatural) is the most decorated name in this whole scene — multiple Pandaclass titles plus a Jinricp crown. When she's in the cast, the season has a default center of gravity: everyone else is essentially playing for second. 지인 Jiin (in0410), the S7 runner-up, was the one player visibly closing that gap. With both of them out of S8, that center of gravity is just… gone.

Our Pandaclass S7 recap breaks down Heso's cross-show four crowns and Jiin's runner-up run in full.

So the real question of S8 isn't 'can anyone beat Heso' — it's 'who grabs the popularity that's suddenly up for grabs?' In this format the rankings move on viewer support, so an open top means the early weeks actually matter. Nobody starts with the crown already half-won.

The Names We're Watching

No predictions in stone — an open season is exactly the kind that produces surprises. But if you asked us who we'd keep an eye on first, three names come up. Treat this as a watch-list, not a verdict.

오한나 Oh Hanna ohhanna

오한나 Oh Hanna · ohhanna

28 · 163 cm · INFJ · 65F

The heaviest résumé in the room. Oh Hanna is a Pandaclass S4 champion and a Jinricp original member, and she walked in with a line to match: 'I'll show you what an irreplaceable BJ looks like.' With the usual favorites gone, the eye naturally drifts to the only past champion on the call sheet — if anyone carries a 'default favorite' aura into S8, it's her. We're slightly leaning her way, but only slightly.

선하 Seonha sunha0213

선하 Seonha · sunha0213

28 · 163 cm · ISFP · D

A returning face from S7, and she's not hiding the ambition: she came in saying she wants a better result than last season and to compete 'with no regrets.' That's the tell. She already knows the format, she's aiming up, and an open top is exactly the opening a steady mid-tier player needs to break through. Quietly one of the most dangerous names here.

도경서 Do Gyeong-seo dks2003

도경서 Do Gyeong-seo · dks2003

24 · 170 cm · ISTP · 65E

The youngest of our three at 24, and the tallest in the room at 170 cm. She calls herself the 'water park queen' and clearly enjoys the spotlight that comes with that kind of stage presence. Young, striking, and not shy — the profile that tends to climb fast once viewer votes start flowing. A genuine wildcard for the top.

The Chase Pack

Not the headline names — and in an open season, that's exactly where the breakout usually comes from. Any one of these could be the popularity story of S8.

온리원 Only One 521521

온리원 Only One · 521521

28 · 165 cm · ESTJ · D

Her whole thesis is in the name: not one of many BJs, but the one you actually remember. Pure ESTJ — clear goals, no interest in blending into the pack. In a season with no fixed center, a player this intent on standing out is well-positioned.

하경 Ha-gyeong hagyeong00

하경 Ha-gyeong · hagyeong00

27 · 168 cm · ISTP · 75E

Goes by 'Eolkong Ha-gyeong' — a face-and-figure nickname she wears proudly — and her ask is simple: just remember it. 168 cm, ISTP cool, the kind of quiet riser who lets the visuals do the talking.

오인혜 Oh In-hye rkarl90

오인혜 Oh In-hye · rkarl90

28 · 160 cm · INFP · D

The sincerity pick. She says she wants to grow 'through honesty and effort,' and the INFP warmth reads as genuine rather than scripted. The type who builds a loyal, quietly devoted room rather than a loud viral spike — which in a long format is no small thing.

주원 Juwon itswon

주원 Juwon · itswon

27 · 164 cm · ESTP · C

Short and direct, exactly like her intro: 'I'll give it everything to the end.' No gimmick, no concept — just an ESTP who plans to show up every broadcast and grind. The unflashy ones are easy to underrate until the standings say otherwise.

희동 Huidong hncsphj

희동 Huidong · hncsphj

25 · 163 cm · ESTP · C

The boldest opener of the cast: 'Aiming for first, burning every last bit of my soul.' No hedging at all. If S8 has a player willing to go fully all-in from week one, it's this ESTP — and in an open season, that kind of aggression can absolutely pay off.

반희진 Ban Hee-jin hiziny

반희진 Ban Hee-jin · hiziny

25 · 163 cm · ISFJ · D

ISFJ steadiness with a playful streak underneath. Not the loudest in any room, but the kind of consistent presence that creeps up the chart week by week while flashier names burn bright and fade. Sleeper energy.

윤채 Yunchae yunchae67

윤채 Yunchae · yunchae67

27 · 168 cm · INFP · D

The self-aware meme. She rolls in as 'Princess Yunchae of Pig Kingdom' (oink included), and that easy, in-on-the-joke charm is a clear step up from her earlier seasons. Personality-forward, very easy to get attached to — exactly the kind of likability that travels in a popularity contest.

도해 Dohae uoan2xoak3j0skq

도해 Dohae · uoan2xoak3j0skq

163 cm · ISTP · D

The concept card. She introduces herself as a '151-year-old gumiho' (nine-tailed fox) and warns that her resolve 'can't be explained in one line.' Full commitment to the bit, ISTP unpredictability underneath. The chaos pick of the roster — and chaos tends to get clipped and shared.

보라 Bora qwerv486v

보라 Bora · qwerv486v

24 · 162 cm · ISFP · D

Her self-described strength is persistence — endure, stay consistent, keep showing up unchanged. Low-key in week one, but stamina is underrated in a season this long. The marathon runner of the cast.

아이 Ai 2000ai

아이 Ai · 2000ai

28 · 160 cm · INTP · E

Walked in with a grin and 'I think it's about time I tried being queen.' Half a joke, half a threat — that's the INTP move. With no fixed favorite this season, a line like that lands differently than it would have a season ago. Fun to watch her test it.

The Underdogs — and the One True Rookie

Three names that came in quiet and humble. Two of them — Seol-yu and Jane — are simply hard to place this early: low-key entries of the kind an open season tends to reward. The third, 연시은 Yeon Si-eun, is the cast's one genuine rookie.

설유 Seol-yu dlsrl990

설유 Seol-yu · dlsrl990

25 · 153 cm · ISFP · 70D

The smallest in the room at 153 cm, and she leans all the way into it: 'came with a newbie's heart — I may be small, but I'll grow here, so please cheer for me.' That open underdog framing is disarming, and underdogs who ask nicely tend to get adopted fast.

제인 Jane

제인 Jane

28 · 153 cm · INTP · C

The quiet, humble one. 'Still a lot to improve — please look kindly on me.' A quiet, low-pressure start, but in this format the polite ones often have the longest runway: no hype to live up to, only upside. One to check back on in a few weeks.

연시은 Yeon Si-eun

연시은 Yeon Si-eun · rookie

26 · 159 cm · INFJ · B

The cast's one true rookie, and refreshingly specific about the goal: 'I'm new, but I'll work hard and definitely finish above mid-table.' Not a moonshot, not false modesty — just a concrete target she's stating out loud. That kind of grounded ambition is easy to root for. Remember the name.
